Wentworth Flood Rally – 1956-2026

June 7

An organising Committee has been formed and named 70 Years on Wentworth Flood Rally ~ 1956-2026. After not having a rally for 10 years we are excited to celebrate 70 years since the one in a hundred-year flood in our region. The Tractor Rally is held to commemorate the role that the TEA20 Massey Ferguson “Fergie” tractor played in saving the township of Wentworth (and many other river townships along the Murray River) during the 1956 floods.

We are now planning the Program of Events over the weekend 5th, 6th & 7th of June 2026. Our committee would like to bring you up to date with what has been planned so far.

  • Friday – Tractors will trek from Wilga Road Red Cliffs arriving in Wentworth approximately 3pm. Registration Dinner is planned for all tractor participants and supporters, held at the Wentworth Showground Pavilion.
  • Saturday – Tractors, trucks & cars will rally from Wentworth Showgrounds to Pomona for morning tea, Fort Courage for lunch and return.
  • Sunday – The main event, Tractor Parade in Darling Street, Markets on the Wharf Lawns, vintage machinery displays, competitions and much, much more.

We are expecting approximately 250 participants, plus support crew, and anticipating approximately 1000 attendees from all over Australia.

The committee is asking if the Sunraysia Historic Motorcycle Club would like to co-ordinate a static display of vintage motorcycles on the Wentworth Rowing Club lawns to enhance the program on the Sunday 7th June 2026
